The July Fourth Holiday Weekend

As the July Fourth Holiday Weekend is rapidly approaching you may begin to wonder what to do with all your family and friends, who will be visiting from out of town, or how to have share some fun with the neighbors. The traditional holiday barbecue is always a good option for one of the days, of course, but what can you do outside the normal realm of day to day holiday activities?  I know my crew, The Keith Albrecht Team is excited to attend one of Carmel’s favorite traditions, Carmelfest, the premiere celebration of Independence Day in Carmel, Indiana. If you haven’t attended over the past 32 years, it really is two days of fun filled activities for all ages. Beginning at 1:00 pm on Sunday, July 4th and running through 10:00 pm on Monday, July 5th, you’ll enjoy games, rides, concerts at The Gazebo and Carter Green, festival foods, an outdoor marketplace featuring local artists, a Talent Show and the infamous Carmelfest Parade. The highlight of both evenings will be the fabulous and impressive fireworks display synchronized to music from 91.3 FM at 9:45 pm for east and west Carmel on July 4th and 9:45 pm on July 5th for central Carmel. More than 50,000 visitors are expected to attend the weekend festivities so it will be nice to see our neighbors, friends and family out in our beautiful Carmel community! We hope to see you there!!  https://www.carmelfest.net/

Noblesville hosts a similar event, the Fourth of July Parade and Fireworks Festival.  The festival begins with the Stars & Stripes Forever Parade, which rides through downtown Noblesville on July 4th at 2:30pm. The event will include traditional park amenities such as playgrounds, shelters and shade; along with festival items like a mobile zipline, an axe throwing trailer, flying trapeze, inflatables, trackless train and a kids area. An adult area will include a beer garden and games. The Hairbangers Ball will perform on the Republic Services Main Stage from 7:30 to 9:30 pm. The day ends with the exciting fireworks show at 10:00 pm.  https://cityofnoblesville.org/

If you live in Westfield and want to attend an event closer to home, you’ll have the opportunity to go to Westfield Rocks the Fourth, which runs from 11-3:00 pm on July 3rd.  With events like a Kids Zone, Colts in Motion Traveling Museum, vendors, Master Yoo’s Tae Kwon Do Demonstration, Indy’s Island Party and Andy Schomburg’s performance, your day will be filled with tons of activities. The Indy Alleycats game takes place later in the day at the Grand Park Events Center at 7:00 pm.  Sunday, July 4th from 6-10:30 pm brings more fun filled with the Kids Zone, a Hot Dog Eating Contest, the Jai Baker Band, just to name a few. The grand display of fireworks begins at 10:00 pm. https://www.westfield.in.gov/

For our Fishers, Hamilton Southeastern & Geist neighbors, Fishers Parks is bringing three fireworks displays to the community on July Fourth beginning at 10:00 pm. The downtown and Nickel Plate District will enjoy fireworks launched from Holiday Park, while Hamilton Southeastern and nearby Geist neighborhoods will enjoy fireworks launched from the Geist Waterfront Park. Geist Reservoir will be the host for residents to observe the spectacular display of fireworks on the water.  Fishers also hosts the Conner Prairie Star Spangled Banner Symphony https://www.indianapolissymphony.org/event/star-spangled/ and fireworks show from July 2 – 4th.  https://www.playfishers.com/529/July-4th-Fireworks
